Garuda Wisnu Kencana

Mandala Garuda Wisnu Kencana, known in short as GWK, is designed and it is expected to be the landmark of Bali as the new tourism destination to combine culture, social, economic and  various  environmental  aspects. Situated on a limestone escarpment overlooking the South Bali tourist region, Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park showcases the art and culture of the Island of the Gods amid dramatic natural backdrops and breathtaking panoramic vistas.

Provide new attraction for local and foreign tourists, aiming to create the ideal economic multiplier effects, and provide artists and local people a chance of upgrading their welfare. That is more or less their main purposes of the construction of this multi purpose estate as it is outlined on their project summary. The main mark of this complex is a bust of God Wishnu 144.64 m height, surrounded by: 60 pavilions for countries and world cultural institution, International museum International Gallery, International Conference Hall, and Exhibition hall. GWK monument is located on a high place overlooking beautiful panorama of the surrounding, around 4 kilometers from Desa Jimbaran. Indeed this estate would gear the activities at the surrounding, especially Jimbaran, but a question remains unanswered, and what are people looking for?

Locate fifteen minutes from the Ngurah Rai International Airport and less than an hour from most major hotels and resorts, GWK is one of the island’s premier venues for artistic performances, exhibitions, and conferences as well as for sightseeing and relaxation.
