Who does not know about Kuta or Nusa Dua Bali? The most famous tourist attraction in the world, but there are some people who don’t know in which Kuta and Nusa Dua Regency are located? Perhaps some people will find the answer. You may also don't know, because so famous two names of the place. Surely there is in Bali area.
So this is a row of names of big beaches in Bali such as; Kuta Beach, Nusa Dua Beach, Dreamland Beach, and Pandawa Beach is located in Badung Regency. One of 9 Regencies or Cities which are located in Bali. Badung Regency has a lot of marine tourism objects are very beautiful and must have been known among tourists. Many new beaches in Badung Regency mostly found by tourists and especially the surfers and then crowded to visit.
Badung regency is one of the areas with the largest number of accommodation or hotels in Indonesia, almost 65% of the total accommodation in Bali is in the Badung Regency. Now Badung Regency has developed with advanced and become one of the richest Regency in Bali, where most of APBD revenue comes from the world of tourism. So Badung regency tried to keep improving the quality of tourism sector in its region by carrying out various activities and events aimed to attract tourists.
Every year, various events designed by Badung regency and have become the annual agenda of the implementation of cultural festivals and tourist attractions are very vibrant and able to attract tourists to coming Badung Regency. One of the biggest festivals held is the Maritime Cultural Festival held during the month of May during almost a full month.This Marine Festival is one of the cultural festivals of the three major festivals that are regularly held in Badung.This big festival among others; Agricultural Festival in Badung Utara, Cultural Festival in central badung and Marine Festival in South Badung Region, as well as several other festivals held in sub-districts such as Kuta, Legian, Nusa Dua, Berawa festivals and many more cultural activities that are held regularly every year.
For the year 2018, Marine Culture Festival will be held at Pandawa Beach South Kuta on May 9th, 2018. This year maritime festival carrying Offering to The Sea Theme, which is a form of respect and offerings for the sea and its contents in order to always be in a balanced and harmonious with the concept of Tri Hita Karana. This time the festival activities will be filled with various main activities performed in turns such as; Bali Fishing Tournament, Surfing Competition, Dragon Boat Competition, Beach Soccer Tournament, Badung Bali Aerial Competition (BABAC), Underwater Photo Competition, Bali Blues Festival, Traditional Support Parade , Food Festival and so on. Various activities will be held in various places or beaches in South Kuta area for almost a full month.
Especially for this year's Grand Opening event will be exhibition of Badung International Art Carnival (BIAC) which will be participated by participants from overseas and carnival participants from various regions in Indonesia such as; Jember, Malang, Cirebon, Salatiga, Palu, Gorontalo and Banyuwangi. Badung International Art Carnival for the first time held in Badung Regency is the agenda of Carnival activities that will be held regularly in Bali, especially Badung Regency.
In the series of activities of Grand Opening on the beach pandawa will also be showing Colossal Fisherman Dance which will be followed by 200 children dancers from Junior High School in South Kuta district and also will be held Kendang Bebarungan attraction "KetugGumi" from the Institut Seni Indonesia Denpasar which will lower 250 people penabuh kendang. The parade will be held in the afternoon starting with decorative vehicles which theme of Sea and its contents.
The event will be opened by the Minister of Tourism, Mr. Arief Yahya and the Mayor of Badung, Mr. I Nyoman Giri Prasta who will board an ornamental vehicle and wear carnival costume followed by Kendang Bebarungan Ketug Gumi, Fisherman Dance, Carnival and closed with Marching Band from Udayana University.
This maritime cultural festival event was held to attract tourists to visit the Badung Regency is very close to the maritime world. By introducing the wealth of the sea in Badung regency in the future for tourists is expected to increase the potential of regional income, especially for fishermen and coastal communities who synergize with the world of tourism. The activities of the fishermen and coastal communities can not be separated by the sea as a culture that has been inherited, it is necessary to maintain and preserve its existence. With held this festival, human will love the sea and its wealth so that it will keep its sustainability.
