Stretching along 12.7 km above the sea, the highway which has been awarded to be the most beautiful highway in the world is somewhat unique because it is the only toll road with bike lanes on the left and right side of the way.
The toll road was inaugurated by the President of RI Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on 23 September 2013 is almost equal to Penang Bridge in Malaysia reaching 13.5 km long, or Union Bridge of 12.5 km long in Canada.
This toll road began to be constructed around March 2012 and was completed around May 2003. The construction of the toll road over the sea can be said so fast. Not much land should be freed because most of the tolls are hanging over the sea. Bali Mandara Toll Road facilitates the trip between Benoa, Ngurah Rai, Tuban, and Nusa Dua.
